This was so easy to use and the fabrics were so cool. Got this for a play date for my daughter and her friend and they had a blast.
I did wish it was adhesive gemstones versus sequins as the glue did get a bit hard to handle for the girls to put on the small sequins at one point but they had no complaints!!

I thought this would be fun.
My 6 year old daughter has always been obsessed with Trolls. So when I came across this, I thought it would be a fun craft for her and I to work on together one afternoon. Especially since she likes wearing scrunches just as bracelets, because that’s the “cool thing” to do these days.The kit comes with everything you need to make the scrunches. The instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow. My daughter was able to follow along with just some help from me. Until we got to actually putting the bracelets together. The instructions state that you need a certain number of inches of elastic to make the scrunches, and the clips need to be tight on the holder for this to work. Well, as you can see in my pictures, when you put the elastic on the holder, it hangs down. So you actually have to cut less than what they suggest in order for it to be tight. Also. If you make a scrunchie with their measurement, it’ll be too big for even a grown adult (see third picture of pink satin scrunchie). It was huge on me and obviously my 6 year old. And they suggest using elastic double the size of you want to add more than one piece of fabric to it, which made no sense to me. Unless you want to loop the scrunchie around your wrist a few times. So I started cutting the elastic to 7in and that seemed to get the desired tightness we needed for a child’s wrist and even mine (see 4th, 6th and 7th picture). Now for my next issue, to fasten the clip things together to complete the scrunchie, you have to slid them into other and turn them to secure them into place. But it is so hard to do because of the knots you make to keep the fasteners on the elastic. I tried to pull the knots tighter to make them smaller, but it still made it hard to get the clips into each other. My 6 year old definitely couldn’t do it herself. So just keep that in mind that you will have to help your child. Also, we had one of fabric pieces completely fall apart when we tried to put it on the elastic (picture 5). So that was disappointing. But every other piece appeared to be fine. Also, my daughter really enjoyed being able to add sequins to her scrunchies. The glue was very easy to squeeze out and it dried within a few hours. All in all, my daughter had fun doing these but it was kind of tedious to me. I feel like you could make these scrunchies without the plastic holder (which is what we ended up doing because I wasn’t sure how much of a difference it made for us. Essentially it was easier just to fish the elastic through ourselves. I also feel like if you just tied the elastic together instead of using the clips, it would be easier for a child to do independently or just more efficiently. Other than that, it’s a cute craft to do with your child.
