Nanuk - Jack Wolfskin's fleece technology
Fleece is an easy-care insulation material that effectively draws humidity out in a layering system. Because fleece is not very wind-resistant, it can be worn with a matching functional jacket if required. Just how warm fleece is depends on the material thickness and type of construction.
- The material thickness of a fleece is given in grams per square metre (g/m2).
- The higher the number of grams, the thicker and warmer the fleece is.
- Numbers in product names, e.g. Nanuk 100, show the material thickness.
- Material thicknesses at Jack Wolfskin range from Nanuk 100 (g/m²) to Nanuk 400 (g/m²).
