i loved the fact that it was color changing didn't like the fact that it came with a perfume smell which was very strange! and whatever you do don't put it in cold water the color change will quit working but that was my fault! make sure you read the directions

The hair is thick and colorful but the packaging was very difficult to remove. I couldn't get some of the plastic tags out of the doll's head without having to cut off lots of hair, so I left them in.

Overall good quality and beautiful mermaid, but the color change in the hair does not easily reverse (you will need cold water, not just letting the doll cool off). The red paint on the tail also seems defective and has either washed off completely in the first few days (not rough play, simply sitting in warm water for less than an hour at a time) or cannot change back to its original color once heated. This was not a big deal to us as the rest of the colors on the tail change to pastel and back easily and have stayed very vibrant.

Its a great toy to get as a gift. Its the "in" toy at the moment. The hair does change color, its nothing overly drastic but it does change color. Solid fun toy, all in all a great purchase.
