Flume Folding Draining Mat

These handy mats provide a soft rubber surface for draining a variety of items and are perfect for creating extra draining space when required. The distinctive parallel ribs prevent water from being trapped in the upturned mouths of cups, glasses and bowls and help direct water to the central channel, from where it can be easily drained. By simply picking up the corners either side of the central channel, Flume will naturally fold allowing water to be gently poured away.

    I got this to put under a humidifier and it works perfect. Let’s air circulate and protects the wood dresser it’s on from any dripping water. I love that it is square so it doesn’t take up too much space.

    I think it would also be awesome for a pet water bowl (maybe not big enough for 2 bowls) or to dry small items like kids sippy cups or bottles.

    This is exactly what I needed for our RV. Countertop space is limited in our RV and when washing dishes there was no place to place the wet dishes prior to drying them. I thought a drying mat would work but they were so big and I was nervous about possible water damage seeping through underneath. Not to mention waiting for the mat to dry after each use. Then I saw this one which is a small 12” square and has a nice lip all the way around holding the water in. It’s also made from a rubber type material so it doesn’t absorb water. Just fold the mat diagonally and pour the accumulated water back in the sink. Then I just pat dry the mat and it’s ready to be put away! It’s perfect!

    This draining May is sturdy and Emerson’s crockery etc well. This is the second one I have bought as over time the first one which was used daily and perpetually wet developed black spots and the silicon started to break down and go slimy. It did last a couple of years though. So as it was so good to begin with, I replaced it with a new one, and I am following instructions and drying it every day, and so far, it is staying perfect. The slats/ridges are fingerwidth, so it is actually easy to maintain. So if you really want a draining mat that you don’t need to maintain and that you want to leave wet then this is not for you, but if you need a sturdy mat that drains washing up well and you are prepared to dry it fully on a regular basis then it is great.
