Love this set. I'm a huge fan of opening all the bags at once and then deep diving to find the pieces needed. This set is as such. No numbered bags just Lego pieces and instructions. Instructions were easy to follow and this took me about 10 hours to complete. I was just enjoying myself while building this so not a race to complete it. This set is big as well. Similar to the Peugeot 9x8 set.

The build was far bigger and more intricate than I'd imagined, in a good way!  This car is very awesome, very big, and very impressive.  Didn't think I'd be willing to spend this on a Lego set, but now I'm seeing it differently.

Bigger and better than imagined

For those looking for something smaller than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, this set is for you. The color scheme that this set comes with looks really good and is a definite must have for collectors. The only drawback to this set in my opinion is the headlight pieces as they are a bit bulky in comparison to the rest of the vehicle, however, it is still a well thought out piece and looks good on display. It is worth noting that this set does come with quite a large amount of stickers. If you have trouble with stickers, you might need someone to help put them on. For example, the wing itself is a set of three stickers and they need to be aligned properly for the text to flow smoothly. In conclusion, it isn't surprising to see this set already on backorder. The price tag is definitely less expensive than the GT3 RS, but with that being said, the RSR is substantially smaller in size... and I would argue that to be a good thing.

An excellent addition to the Technic series

I have built the Bugatti Chiron and Porsche GT3 RS. These models have tremendous detail in the engine and transmission bay and yet when the car is complete, the cool bits are hidden from view. There was effort in Porsche 911 RSR to maximize the aspects you can see. Always impressed that every one of the 1580 pieces supplied has a purpose and there is no excess or waste. 
Nice kit...Look forward to the next!

Very Realistic 911 RSR

Tremendously fun to build!!! Slightly challenging, as expected, but that's what I expect from a 1500+ piece set!  I have spent way too much time admiring it sitting on my dining room table.  One comment (not an actual complaint), the bags aren't numbered, so it took 18 ziploc bags, both 1-gallon and snack sized, and took up the entire table while building.  It was still ridiculous amounts of fun, and would do it again in a heartbeat.  Strongest possible recommendation.

Impressive

I'm not really in the the cars, but I bought the 007 Austin Martin and found it to be cool and very detailed. So, I had no plans on building the Bugatti, Porsche GT3 or others do to price. I saw this and thought it was well worth the cost and looks cool. This is by no means a small build and was well worth it. If you don't want the huge cost of the Orange GT3 or the Bugatti buy this one instead it's well worth it.

LEGO Porsche

Its was a good build but hate how the pieces were all separate from each other. Having to open every bag just to find one small piece was annoying.

Ok, so I knew that it wouldn't be as good as the GT3 but it really is nowhere near as good or solid. It doesn't have the drivetrain ... but then I don't really see the point of it anyway as you can't see it or make use of it! The biggest problems for me are that it just doesn't seem to be as well put together as the GT3 e.g. the doors are wobbly and don't stay closed. But the worst thing, especially when put side-by-side with the GT3, is the stupidly small wheels, they're ridiculously small (about 3/4 the size of the GT3 model even though the models are of a similar size) meaning there are large gaps in the wheel arch. Rather disappointed now that I've finished it. If you want a Lego Porsche, spend the extra and get the GT3.

Get the GT3!

I'm very disappointed in this purchase.  I received a cheap, knock off version of a Lego Technic that was advertised.  The box was badly damaged and several words were misspelled like "Technie" instead of "Technic" ... Porschc Mobii, and Michelim.  Needless to say I will  be returning this item.
