After using for many months, it's safe to say we are very pleased with our purchase. The battery-powered feature is not only engaging but also helps teach proper technique and ensures thorough cleaning without any manual effort from the child or parent (which can be a lifesaver during bedtime routines).
However, there were some minor issues that I'd like to address - such as occasional breakage of bristles after prolonged use. This is not unique only for this product but it seems more common in battery-powered toothbrushes compared with manual ones (which might be due to the motor and vibrations).
In comparison, other competitors have their own pros & cons too; some offer better design or longer lasting bristles while others provide a stronger cleaning action. But when considering our child's experience using alternate products like Sonicare for Kids and Oral-B Stages Power toothbrush - the Colgate Minions one seems to be more fun, engaging with its characters that keep them motivated!
